I’m Just Cruz, a ten-year Army Veteran. I launched the Veteran Awareness Project because I saw a need for a website veterans could access the resources and information available to them. Many veterans, like myself, faced uncertainty when transitioning from military to civilian life. Unsure of the benefits and entitlements they’ve earned or how to navigate the Veteran Affairs system.
During my own transition out of the Army, I realized how unprepared I was. I encountered doubts, lacked resources, and simply didn’t know where to find the help I needed. These challenges inspired me to create a service focused on easing that uncertainty, helping veterans take confident steps to the next chapter of their lives. While preparing servicemembers transitioning out of the military. My mission is to empower veterans with knowledge and tools for success—and to inspire them to pass on the knowledge.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a bad question. The more we learn, the more we can share, creating a ripple effect of awareness and success among our fellow veterans.
